Is there more of a classic shape than the Porsche 911? Its gone for god knows how many years without being really changed and yet, it still looks as good as it did all those years ago. Does that mean such a classic car can't be improved? No, as this 964 RS proves, with a few subtle touches even the most classic of designs can be improved.
In this case, those touches are as simple as a slight stance tweak and changing the wheels for those timeless Fuch Spilts, the black of the wheels contrasts perfectly with the silver paint and somehow just makes near-perfection... well as close to perfection as you can get, afterall, everything can be improved, in this case, I'm just not quite sure how.

As I am sure you all know, modified Volkswagen's have been stealing parts from their Stuttgart cousins at Porsche forever, sets of wheels, door handles, the odd badge or even in some cases whole engine blocks (especially within Air-Cooled circles). However, it is pretty rare to see something not wearing the VW badge to be seen sporting Porsche parts, but thats exactly what EUMania member 'couzens' has done to his stunning Mk2 Ph1 Renault Clio.
Sitting pretty on a set of colour-coded Porsche Cookie Cutters the little french hatch really stands out from the other Clio's beginning to hit the Euro scene, not because of anything radical, but through clever thinking and a great eye for good, quality parts. The Porsche connection doesn't just stop at the wheels, inside couzens has fitted a set of classy 944 seats which are set off with the classic chequered boot flooring.
I can see Porsche parts becoming more and more popular within the Euro scene, the D90 wheel is already seen as a classic, so how long before we see a Saxo on Teledials? Or a Nova on Fuchs? Who knows, but if they look as good as this Clio, we've got a lot to look forward to.
Its funny, I really didn't think this car could get any better... I was wrong. The new mesh split-rims look spot on, especially in the tone he has chosen to paint them in and I personally can't wait to see more pictures of this serious little car.
A year or two ago my Step-Dad had an Accord Wagon in a very similar shade to the one above. I have to admit, I didn't follow my own rule of everything has potential and completely ignored it. How wrong I was, knowing how much he paid for it I should have forced a few notes into his hand and set about getting the thing on the deck. Another one for the future then it seems.
